Crispy Focaccia Bread French Gluten Free Gourmet Style
My easy way to realise a wonderful Focaccia Bread…gluten free and diary free.
Last night, I came back from grocery shopping with a lot of nice and creamy French cheese for dinner…but…does it make sens for a French woman to have cheese without bread???
So I decided to cook my own focaccia bread…in Provence we say “Fougasse”
So I start it from scratch…and decided I wanted to try my own recipe…gluten free…and diary free (I guess it was enough milk with all these marvellous cheeses)
My Recipe Ingredients:
-1 and 1/2 cup of white rice flour
-1 cup of corn starch
-1/2 cup of potato starch
-3/4 cup of tepid water
– 1 tsp of sugar
– 1 tsp of salt
– 1 tbsp of yeast powder
– 6 tbsp of olive oil
-some extra flour to spread on your cooking paper
– 1 egg
-some coarse salt and rosemary for topping
How to proceed:
mix all the ingredients together to obtain a soft dough. Depending on the type and quality of your flour, you will maybe need to add some water… ( I experienced that when I was preparing a bread recipe…and am pretty sure it is all about the kind of flour we use…)
Once you get the nice dough aspect, lay your dough on your baking tray covred with cooking paper
Cover with plastic foil to keep it nicely warm and allow your dough to raise for approximately 30 minutes on a warm place.
Preheat you oven at 350 degrees….
Take the plastic foil off, with your finger, do some holes in your bread dough. Spread some coarse salt and rosemary…and spread more olive oil all over your dough before cooking to create a nice and shiny crust.
Put in the oven for 20 minutes and check the gold and nice focaccia bread…
Savor warm, with cheese, or ham…
I like it with grind tomatoes, olive oil…
